Zoran Zekic: "If we have moments, we must score them"
The head coach of FC Sheriff Zoran Zekic about the match against FC Sfintul Gheorghe:
- Good evening. I’d like to congratulate the team on the victory. It was a very important game. I think that we had a complete control during the whole game. Could score several more goals. Five football players will go to the national team. We’ll make the program. I realize that we have a lot more problems. It is necessary to work on many components, to improve. I hope, we will have soon an opportunity to strengthen the team with two-three football players. On some positions we have no competition. It is necessary to make it to improve the training process.
- Even at the score 5:0 you were very upset when players did not score the sixth, seventh goals. Why?
- There has to be a concentration. If we have moments, we must score them. I played as a forward either and I know that problems can appear if you do not score so many moments. In other matches there will be one or two moments and they should be scored.
- After return you said that a lot more work is necessary. After a while how do you estimate – whether the playing of the team improves?
- I think that improves and it is visible by result. I am dissatisfied from that point of view that I know we have to play even better in Eurocups. It is necessary to raise work level. Both in defense, and in tacklings, and in the line of the attack. Today the movement without a ball was better. I am very glad that we had reaction at the movement without a ball. But in other components we need to improve, and we don’t have much time.
- At warm-up Veaceslav Posmac got injured. How serious is the injury?
- Now I cannot say how serious it is. Tomorrow he will undergo examination, then we’ll find out everything. I can say that it was the hit which he received in the match with Milsami and felt pain all the time. During a week he trained. Today he wanted very much to play, but there was no opportunity. God grant, that tomorrow examination won’t show something serious.
- The last matches Maxim Cojocaru, who scored three goals, looks good. What can you say about him?
- I can say that it pleases me very much . It is visible every day, not only on the game, but also in training process that he has an understanding, what requirements we have. Very well grew. He has enough mistakes, but I say every day that he has to believe in himself, it is necessary to work even more. Only this way it is possible to progress. He is a very honest person, young, likes to work. If he continues to work in the same way, every day he will become better and better.
