Yury Kendysh:Ready to go on the pitch
First time since his injury FC Sheriff Belarusian midfielder, Yury Kendysh, is listed for Matchday 13 of the National Division against Zimbru. Yury told us about his health state and coming up games in the Championship and the Champions League.
Yury, the most important question – how do you feel after the injury and are you ready to play?
Thank you, I feel great, my rehabilitation was successful. Everything was fine sooner than expected. I was out for 7 weeks because of a knee injury received in the match against Milsami. Now I’m fine but again by a weird coincidence, I’m listed against the Bisons. It was a difficult period in my career as I had to have treatment in Belarus and Italy. We discussed it with the club’s management and decided to complete treatment with Croatian expert Boris Peirek who works in our club.
What can you say about the specifics of his rehabilitation?
His methods work well with me. They are focused on physical exercises that I like a lot. I love working out on my physical fitness and the result proves this. After short work, I’m already on the list. I’m ready to play.
Seven months is a long period. Have you missed playing football?
Yes, sure. It was important for me to play for the team to be well-toned for the official games. I hope I can help the team in the game against Milsami. Soon we will play in the Euro Cups games and I want to be fit and ready for these games.
Several days ago Bosnian midfielder Rifet Kapic joined the team. Is he your competitor on your position?
Well, Rifet in playing sense is a really good player. He creates more than destroys. I’m a more like a complete package. Last season I had to play both in defence and attack. Let’s see then, as everything depends on rivals and tournaments. The coaching staff decide who will play.
We have a game against Milsami on 27 June, our main rival for the gold medals.
The games against Milsami are a matter of principle. The most important is to stretch the lead in the standings. In two weeks we will debut in the Champions League. Victory over this team will add us positive vibes.
You’ve already mentioned the Champions League, what can you say about our opponent – Torpedo (Georgia)?
I used to play several friendlies against Georgian teams. The love ball possession and do it quite well. The most important for us will be to control the ball and the game. Also, the team’s physical condition will mean a lot. We must be fit for the entire 90 minutes, and this is the only way we may qualify for the next round.
