The award ceremony for the Best Sportsmen and Teams of 2021 according to the Moldovan Sports Press Association took place today.

 

FC Sheriff won the “Best Team of the Year” nomination by a wide margin.

 

Let's remind that in the outgoing year FC Sheriff won the Championship of Moldova (for the 19th time), qualified for the group stage of the Champions League (for the first time in the history of Moldovan football), where it earned 7 points in the same group with Real Madrid, Italian Inter and the Ukrainian Shakhtar and, having taken the third place, qualified for the spring part of the Europa League (also becoming the first team in the history of Moldovan football, which was able to achieve such success).
