Yes, our team is having a holiday now. We plan to get back to work on January 15. We will carry out medical examination, tests and will get ready for the second part of the championship. As for the first round of the championship, we can say that the team performed quite well. We are on the third place. We lost only two games and unfortunately we lost to the teams that take lower places in the standings. It probably tells that young players do not have enough experience. We did not lose in games with leaders. Taking into account that there are many new young players in “Sheriff-2”, I think they performed quite well und understood what they should do.
It is noted that there are players from “Sheriff” Academy in the composition of the team each year. How do young guys perform in the second team? Are you satisfied with their work?
We have very good friendly relationship between the players of the team. The guys that come from Football Academy adapt in our team very quickly. Of course, the requirements change. We should play in mature and quicker football. I think the guys who work with us answered our expectations. The most important thing is that they should lead the charge, have more requirements to themselves and listened to what they are taught.
You said many times that the main task of “Sheriff-2” is the preparation of the football players for performance in the first team. The players of the second team perform in the first team more often. Can you comment their performance?
We are very glad that they perform in the first team and they are needed. Our players have started playing in the first team since summer and many other players joined them in the course of the season. They are Vadim Paireli, AlexandrBolshakov, Valentin Birdan, RazgonyukArtiom, Veaceslav Lisa and many others. We would like that players from “Sheriff-2” not only trained and played for the first team but also took leading positions and brought positive results to the club. Their achievements show guys from Football Academy and from “Sheriff-2” that there is nothing impossible.
Where will training camps take place and with which sparring partners are you going to play?
As I have said, training camps start on January 15. They will take place at Sports Complex “Sheriff”. We will start slowly but then we plan to increase loads. The first game is planned to play against “Zarya” (Glinoe). In a few weeks we plan to play against the team of the National Division. We will try to play against strong rivals in order to see our level and get ready for the second round.
Are tasks of “Sheriff-2” high in the championship?
Preparing football players for the first team, our players must have high level in tactical, technical and psychological way. If they have all that on high level, then our game and results will be good.
