Toni Silic: “The choice was not difficult for me”
The Croatian goalkeeper of the first team of FC Sheriff Toni Silic is training hard and waiting for his chance, which may be just around the corner. In the meantime, it’s worth getting to know the tall Croatian:
- Tony, why did you decide to become a goalkeeper?
- My father was a goalkeeper and my two older brothers were also goalkeepers, so the choice was not difficult for me.
- FC Sheriff is your first club outside of Croatia, how do you feel here?
- First impressions are excellent, the players and all the club staff are very kind and received me very well.
- Why did you decide to move to Sheriff?
- It was an easy decision. I know that Sheriff is a big club that regularly plays in European tournaments and I can progress here.
- What goals do you set for yourself this season?
- I want to progress from training to training and work hard to get a chance to get playing minutes in the match and, of course, win trophies.
- What is your hobby, what do you like to do in your free time?
- In my free time, I like to draw and my new hobby now in my free time will be learning the language.
- What sports are you interested in besides football?
- I mostly still follow basketball and tennis.
- What do you remember most of the last year?
- The most memorable moments last year were training together with my brother in the same club. We supported each other great.
- What is your dream?
- Every child from Split and Dalmatia who plays football dreams of becoming a champion, playing for Hajduk in Croatia. I'm not an exception.
- What message will you convey to the fans of FC Sheriff?
- I promise to give my all and give 100% and help the FC Sheriff team achieve all their goals.
