Roberto Bordin: "The only right decision was the game number two"
FC "Sheriff" head coach, Roberto Bordin, answered the questions of the Azerbaijani journalists after the match with FC "Garabag":
- Good evening. It turned out to be a very difficult match for us. In the first minutes we experienced unpleasant moments, after which we managed to level the game. As I noted yesterday, the fans created a terrific atmosphere, and the team tried to use it. At the same time, they created more moments from the standard positions, than in the game episodes. If you take in general, my players played at a good level. Maybe, if they could better organize the game in the attack, they could get a completely different result.
- What was your game plan?
- Today we tried to be vigilant. They knew that "Qarabag", well moves the ball, combines. Therefore, we chose the game on the counterattack. We waited for them in our positions, trying to quickly escape to the opponent's gate when we had such an opportunity. We could not play higher. It was dangerous, because, as I said, our rival is a qualified team, plus they had a big plus, their own fans and home stadium.
- "Sheriff" did not create a single dangerous moment at the gate of the hosts. How can I explain this?
- I think you looked bad at the game. Definitely, we had our moments, some very dangerous. It is clear that our task was, first of all, to secure our gates. Therefore, the only correct solution was the game number two.
