Richard Gadze: "My plans are simple - to contribute to the overall success of the team"
Ghanaian forward Richard Gadze has recently joined FC Sheriff. We present to your attention the first interview of the newcomer of our team.
- Richard, congratulations on signing the contract. Now your immediate plans are connected with FC Sheriff ...
- Thank you, I am very happy to be here and to sign the agreement with the club. I read a lot about FC Sheriff. I know the history. The club was formed relatively recently, but the history is very rich. My plans are simple - to contribute to the overall success of FC Sheriff.
- How did the team accepted you?
- I was pleasantly surprised how warmly the club accepted me. So far I have met several partners. It takes time and I'll know everything and everyone here.
- Tell us how it happened that you connected your life with football?
- I started playing football at the age of eight. It was more like fun. But over time, football involved me and I realized that I do it well. Actually, that's how my career began. Today this path has brought me to Tiraspol, to FC Sheriff.
- Your former club is Zira, did you manage to realize in the Premier League of Azerbaijan?
- When I moved to FC Zira, the team took part in the qualification of the Europa League for the first time. It so happened that I became the author of the first goal scored in the history of the club in this tournament. This is a great event for me and the club as a whole.
- You played only 13 games this year. How quickly do you adapt to the training process and to official matches?
- Yes, it so happened that this year I did not have much playing time. I joined the team in the second round of the championship. I played 13 matches, but then you know what happened - it was impossible to play due to the pandemic. There are no problems with adaptation. If the coach trusts me, I will not disappoint him. I would like to quickly help the team and, accordingly, gain a foothold here.
,
- You already have European Cup experience, in particular in the Europa League, but the Champions League is a completely different tournament, do you agree?
- Without a doubt, this is the best club competition in Europe. Every player - and I am not an exception - wants to improve their skills. This is a great chance for me to do it.
- What can you say about our first match with an opponent from Luxembourg?
- I have nothing to say about my opponent. I have already participated in European competitions and have gained some experience. Now I am not affected by some of the pressure that is inherent in such games. We need to enter the field and do the result, and I believe that we can achieve a lot in this tournament.
