FC Sheriff captain Mateo Susic has been capped to the national team of Bosnia and Herzegovina national team for the first time. The team is having two friendly matches – against Luxemburg and against Switzerland.
Susic defended the colors of Bosnian U-17 and U-21.
Mateo gave his comments to the Football Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina on his debut call-up.
Mateo Susic, Bosnia and Herzegovina national team defender and FC Sheriff defender:
- It is impossible to describe your feelings when you are called up for the first time. Perhaps it is the result of my qualitative work in the club. It is a nice feeling to be among the best players of Bosnia and Herzegovina, like Džeko, Pjanić, Spahić. Now they are my teammates, I am very glad about it. I would like to say thank you to coaching staff for this opportunity. I hope to take the field in the upcoming matches in order to justify my invitation to the team.
