Marin Căruntu: Our target only to win
FC Sheriff second team’s forward Marin Căruntu shares his opinion about the Moldova Cup Round of 16 leg against FC Victoria and his debut in the Yellow-Blacks’ first team:
Marin, first of all, our congratulations on your debut in the first team! Share your emotions on this occasion.
Many thanks! I have only positive emotions about this despite of a tough game against the top leader in Division A. We knew it would be a challenge. As for my individual playing, I’m certain that in the game against FC Victoria it could have been better. It’s great we managed to win and enter the next round. On Monday, another game against this team is waiting ahead but this time in Division A.
What can you say about the opponents’ play?
They are real fighters and in the match against the leader of National Division they fought on every patch of the pitch. They grabbed the win by skills and physical condition. It galls me that we conceded in the last minutes. I think we let in a goal because we lost concentration.
Have you already told about the game to your teammates from Sheriff-2? You play against FC Victoria already on Monday?
Yes, we discussed it already. I told them it would be a very hard game. FC Victoria have good and experienced players. The team shows well-organized football. We take getting ready for the battle seriously as our target is only to win. As situation in the tournament shows, our chances to become champions in Division A depend on this game
