Jessi Guera Djou: I’m glad to become a part of the team
FC Sheriff newcomer Jessi Guera Djou talks about his adaptation in the new club:
Jessi, welcome to FC Sheriff. What can you say about your adaptation in our club?
Many thanks to everyone! Well, usually I don’t have much trouble adapting to new clubs and FC Sheriff is no exception. I also was very well received here and everyone helps me out during trainings and in life situations. Everything is really well-organized and I’m very glad to become a part of the team.
What can you say about training sessions and our coaching staff?
Roberto Bordin uses different training methods and pays lots of attention to tactics. I dare say my new team is well-organized and acts as a union. I’m looking forward to the opportunity to showcasing my skills in the new team.
Why have you chosen the defensive midfielder position?
My childhood idol was Steven Gerrard. His play inspired me and probably that was the reason I started to play in the midfield.
In midfield, you prefer to create or destroy attacks?
In modern football a midfielder shall be strong in both aspects. I try to keep strong defense whereas when attacking to make as much assets as possible to my teammates.
What tasks do you set in the Yellow-Blacks squad?
My task is to adjust to the play of my new team. As soon as the coach sees I’m ready to go on the pitch, I will try to follow his tactics and do my best to win every game.
