The national team of Moldova with head coach Igor Dobrovolsky played a draw with Georgia in terms of the preliminary matches for the World's Championship 2018.

One of the main players was FC Sheriff midfielder Radu Ginsari. Radu was in the first eleven and was the only goalscorer on the part of Moldovan team. Vitalie Bordian was also fielded and played all 90 minutes. Maxim Potirniche was registered for the match but did not take the field.

The match with Georgia was planned for 11 June in Chisinau at Zimbru Arena.
