FC Sheriff – FC Veris
1/4 of the Cup of Moldova between FC Sheriff and FC Veris was full of combats as it was expected.
Before the start of the match it was raining in Tiraspol and it made the task harder for the football players. The first dangerous moment was created by FC Sheriff. Valentin Furdui sent a pass to Ernandes who got into the penalty area and made a shot at 15 meters distance but he failed. At the end of the half Luvannor made a shot at the low corner but the goalkeeper made a save.
In the second half FC Sheriff started more actively. Luvannor sent a curler from the penalty area, Gaiduckevic did not fix the ball in wet gloves and left hold of it. Ismail Isa played till the end trying to send the ball into the goal but the referee called a foul against the goalkeeper. In ten minutes Isa was substituted by Juninho Potiguar. FC Veris responded in a strong shot by Frunze but the ball flew over the crossbar. On 66th minute FC Sheriff carried out a quick counter attack. Nikolai Milinchanu was the fastest and shot at the goal of Juric. The match was about to be a draw and therefore – overtime, however, FC Sheriff found strength. In a few seconds before the end of the match Benjamin Balima fought for the ball on the flank making a fantastic pass to the penalty area and Juninho Potiguar was there to score such an important goal for his team.
FC Sheriff is winning in a difficult match by the score 2:1 and goes into the seminal of the Cup of Moldova where the team is playing with FC Milsami from Orhei who won FC Victoria by the score 5:2.
