FC Sheriff – FC Tiraspol May 21,2014
In the final match of the championship the first and the second teams of the leadership - FC Sheriff and FC Tiraspol - met at the Small Arena of Sports Complex “Sheriff”.
There were players from Sheriff-2 in the team’s composition. One of them, in particular, Petar Lela was in the main composition. Dmitri Semirov, Artiom Puntus, Igor Bondarenko and Artiom Zabun were substituted in the course of the match. The match itself was an interesting one. The meeting was actively started by FC Sheriff. Victor Bulat made a shot from the close distance but Dmitri Stajila saved his team. FC Sheriff responded in a dangerous shot by Veaceslav Lisa who could not hit the goal within the penalty area. Stanojevic made a shot at the goal of FC Tiraspol but Maxim Kopelchuk played safely and made it a corner shot. Georgy Ovseannikov lost his chance to score. Stajila played well after his shot.
In the beginning of the second half Dan Pysla was threatening to FC Sheriff goal but our goalkeeper saved his team. On 61st minute Lisa could almost turn home after the pass by Klysman Henrique. In five minutes FC Sheriff could take the lead. Dmitry Semirov made a fantastic pass at the back of the defenders and Veaceslav Lisa left no chances to the goalkeeper after he opened the scoring. On 73rd minute FC Tiraspol lost their 100% moment. Georgy Karaneychev headed in but Stajila made a great save. Right in the end the young forward Artiom Zabun could double the scoring but he did not convert one to one.
The match resulted in minimal victory of FC Sheriff who finished the championship. This Sunday our team is fighting for the Cup of Moldova. The opponent of the yellow-blacks will be FC Zimbru from Chisinau.
