Dmitro Kara-Mustafa: "We deliberately gave the ball to the opponent"
Assistant to the Head Coach of FC Sheriff Dmitro Kara-Mustafa about the match of the 22nd tour of the Championship of Moldova in the National Division against FC Balti:
- How would you comment on today's game?
- 3:0 is a good score and result for us. Moreover, the club will soon be 25 years old - we wanted to win this game, what we did. Considering the quality of the field and the weather conditions, we decided to give the ball to the opponent, and not as usual - we put pressure and control the ball, we play the first number. We deliberately gave the ball to the opponent, because we have fast players in the attack, who had to run out, which they did. Secondly, it was necessary to deprive the opponent of space, to close long passes behind the back - a game that they love. Therefore, we decided to play this way today, and we succeeded. Today we scored from standarts, but we had problems with standarts in defense. We didn't play very well standsrts in defense. All chances created by FC Balti were from free kicks and corners. In the second half it was better, but in the first half it was not quite what we wanted.
- There are two matches with Petrocub ahead - in the Championship and the Cup. What are the expectations?
- For us, every match is important. We do not divide games into FC Balti, Milsami or Petrocub. We will prepare for a serious game, go out, play, achieve results.
