Benedik Mioc: "We should not lose faith and hope"
FC Sheriff midfielder Benedik Mioc about quarantined life. 6 answers to 6 simple questions:
- How's life in quarantine?
- Life in quarantine for me as a professional athlete is not so difficult because we also have planned workouts. In this situation I am very bored, it's hard because my family is far away and my girlfriend couldn't come here because of the virus.
- Are you upset that the season did not start in the initial terms?
- Of course I am, because here is a different type of competition than in Europe, everyone started with their championships and therefore I could hardly wait for ours too, because you look and read what is happening in other leagues in the world and you are eagerly waiting to start our match points.
- What do you do in your unexpectedly free time?
-I train every other day. There are moments when I go to my teammates who are also from Croatia, so we hang out with some music and talk about some of the past times we went through together. If I'm not with them then I watch series.
- Did you find any new talents for yourself (a new dish, made something)?
- Unfortunately I am not, because I currently live in the stadium complex, so I don't have much space for experiment such as cooking.
- How do you keep fit?
- We have a plan and a program that the coaches have given us, so I take those days off to work on the fitness program, it is extra strength training.
- What can you say to our fans?
- We should take care of our loved ones and obey the laws that have been passed regarding the virus, we should not lose faith and hope, because this will pass quickly and we will see you on the ground soon. Better days are coming. We must not surrender.
I salute you all.
