Ariel Borysiuk: " I want to show myself and thus help the club to win"
28-year-old Polish midfielder Ariel Borysiuk, about plans to learn Russian, as well as about his goals for the future:
- Ariel, welcome. What were the main arguments for the transfer?
- Thank you very much. I hope I will succeed. A concrete offer was received, and the signing took place quite rapidly. I know that Sheriff is one of the best Moldavian clubs. Glad to be a part of the team. The sports base here is built at the highest level. I am quite surprised at what I saw, because I had to play before that both in Germany and in England. I hope to develop here further and achieve good results in my personal career and in the history of the club.
- Did you play in Russia for FC Volga, Nizhny Novgorod? Did you manage to learn Russian?
- Well, I studied Russian also at school, but only three years. I spent only three months in Russia. Little time for learning the language. I hope to stay here more, at the same time to improve the Russian language.
- A Polish footballer is already playing in our team - Jaroslaw Jach. Do you know each other?
- With Jaroslaw, we intersected only in the games "Extraclasses". We didn’t play in one team, but before coming here I asked him about everything related to Sheriff. Jaroslaw told me only positive moments.
- New club, new challenge, new goals. What are they?
- First of all, I want to show myself and thus help the club to win as many matches as possible. The main goal of this season is to pass to the Europa League group stage. I’m looking forward to get acquainted with the team and the coaching staff. There is practically no time for adaptation.
- European Cup matches, how do you feel them?
- I already have experience of playing in the Europa League with FC Legia, Warsaw, then we passed to the group stage of the tournament. All players play for titles and success. Participation in European competition is a great opportunity to prove yourself and check your level.
