On May 13 the match, which will go down in the history of our club, as a duel that laid the foundation for the first victory of FC Sheriff in the Championship of Moldova celebrates the 19th anniversary .

 

In Chisinau, Sheriff played against the most important opponent in domestic tournaments - Chisinau Zimbru. It was this match that decided the fate of the title. There was only 2 difference points between the teams, and the remaining games of the Championship were played by both teams against opponents whom they were supposed to beat.

 

As a result, the victory was 3: 1 (on the goal of Yuri Miterev, ours answered with balls by Ruslan Barburosh, Veacheslav Bugniak and Edward Aniamke).

 

In the same year, the second team became the best in Division A. Ruslan Barburosh and David Mujiri (17 goals each), Edward Aniamke (8 goals) topped the list of tournament scorers.
