August 4, 2010. The day when the second miracle of the European chronicle of FC Sheriff happened. Exactly a year later, after the first performance at the group stage of the Europa League, FC Sheriff repeated its path in Europe. Though, under the leadership of another head coach, Andrei Sosnitsky, who was previously part of the coaching staff of Leonid Kuchuk.

 

The main and most pleasant obstacle on the way to the group stage was the fight in Zagreb against the Croatian champion Dinamo. The home draw gave chances for the continuation of the struggle. And our boys took advantage of this chance. A long fight - 120 minutes of playing time and a penalty shootout. Our boys have coped with this test. In total, both teams shot from the 11-meter mark 18 (!) Times.
